Genesis 1:11-12
What a great message preached by my Bishop-Elect Maddix.Faith that produces results... I mean really what is the point in faith if you aren't seeing the fruits of it? EVERYTHING is designed to PRODUCE. As a farmer, you sew seeds and expect to to see a harvest. As a florist, you plant seeds and expect flowers to grow. and so on... But lets go even deeper, If you sew a pumpkin seed you expect to see pumpkin. Not tomato or orange or banana or apple but pumpkin. Fruit will produce after its own kind. This is why as Christians our lives should be productive and we should be seeing growth in the faith (numerically, spiritually, financially & mentally).
Look at these two scriptures:
Deuteronomy 1:8
Numbers 13:26-30
Read them? OK, Well sometimes God may place put us in difficult situations or predicaments. When He tells you to go into a land at first we tend to look at obstacles and magnify them above the "milk and honey" but God may put your blessing in the midst of mess and God doesn't do for us what he has ordained for us to do. He does, however equip and anoint us for the work. Meaning we are "more than able" to do it.
You see sometimes, well most times, we want what is in "the land" but don't want to take the necessary steps to posses it. That is the problem. Most people are not possessors.
So what we do is we wait for a certain people to go before us and posses the land and we just go and enjoy the fruits of it.
Faith isn't what we think it is. It is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1)
Lets look at natural examples of things we cant physically see, because sometimes the things of the spirit may seem like foolishness to the natural man... ( 1 Corinthians 2:14).
Radio waves &Signals ; You can't see them but our television still works.
Wifi; You cant see it with your natural eye but our internet and mobile phones still work.
Electricity; you cant see it but it doesn't mean its not there.
Wind: You cant see wind but you certainly see the results of it.
The things of the spirit are so much more real than that of the natural world. In life we may have been conditioned to think a certain way about a certain thing and as you are condition you believe it. You will never rise higher than what you believe or think. It becomes your condition. Never let people put you in a box. And as a christian don't let the world take over you. In everything you do, choose to be the sheep among the wolves. Never lower your standards to meet them. You can't be weak, you must be strong in your faith in order to influence the world. Just like Jesus, our lifestyle has to rub off on the ones around us.
Romans 12:2- And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
I leave you with this.
A melon has over 300 seeds. You don't need to plant all 300 of those seeds to grow a melon. All you need to sew is one. And you cant make that seed produce but there is LIFE in that seed. There is a seed of faith that has been planted in you that will produce LIFE. Make it come alive from today and step out in Faith to produce greater results.
