Mali Music - All the Glory Belongs yo you

This links in with my last Blog post.

Relating scriptures: •Timothy 6:7 •Haggai 2:8 • Deuteronomy 10:12&13 •

What does God require of us? - Amazing,Challenging & Inspiring Teaching!

Deuteronomy 10:12-13 - "Now, Israel, this is what the Lord your God wants you to do: Respect the Lord your God, and do what he has told you to do. Love him. Serve the Lord your God with your whole being, 13 and obey theLord’s commands and laws that I am giving you today for your own good."

In reality this scripture alone answers the question of "what does God require of us?"
1.Respect the Lord.
2.Obey the Lord and His commands&Laws.
3.Love the Lord.
4.Serve the Lord.
5. Do all this with your whole being.- With all your heart and soul- With your everything.

You may think that its easier said than done or that it is so hard. But in reality God created us For him (Col1:16).
The Bible is a book of principles. A lot of the worlds principles today come form the bible and we don't even realise it.  An example of a principle is ...Life and relationship is really about give and take; You reep what you sow. This is very hard for many people to grasp, especially Christians. But here is an easy way to put it...EVERYTHING BELONGS TO GOD. We own nothing. Our Husbands are Gods. Our wives are Gods. Our children are Gods. Our boyfriends and girlfriends are Gods. Out money is Gods. Our Business is Gods. Our Life belongs to God. Psalms 24.

How do YOU think God feels when the people He created, suffered and died for, disrespect him, dishonour him and disobey him ? (Mal 1:6)

In reality everything we are and everything we do should honour and Glorify God,If we really love him. You can actually tell when someone loves God. Most people who go to Church don't actually love God. They THINK they love God but when someone TRULY loves God they love the things of God. Their fruits show us. They talk more about God than they do anything else. They spend a lot of time with God and learning about Him.

You see many people idolise the things of the world more than they worship God. The truth is whatever you spend the most time with is your idol. Whether it is shopping, music, food, the opposite sex or even Church. Is God your priority? Selah.

God doesn't get glory when we are broke busted and disgusted. He doesn't get glory when we are sick, weak and easily tricked because He Loves us (Romans 5:8 & John 3:16). But we have to follow His principles. We reep what we sow. If we don't pay our Tithes or offering, then we cant be surprised and angry at God when our bank balance is low. Not everything is based on prayer and waiting for God to move, sometimes it takes our own action and common sense in order for things to happen. We have to work and follow Duet 10:12&13 to get the blessings and the favour. Nothing comes easy, Anything Worthwhile MUST cost.

Other Scriptures:  1Timothy6:7 , Haggai 2:8

Hi all,

Just a quick post to say congratulations. You have made it this far. When you though you wouldn't make it. When people said you couldn't make it. You made it. You are alive and even If your life may not seem like there is a light, or your suffering seems like it will never end know that God has a plan for your life. If you just seek him and turn to Jesus he can heal, restore and set you free. He didn't die for us to be content in our unhappiness or in our sickness, he died so we can be free, so we can have life in it's fullness, more abundantly. But that life doesn't come at the snap of our fingers. Take the first step today and accept Jesus into your life or return back to the place where God destined you to be. This is your season to change! It's NOT OVER UNTIL GOD SAYS ITS OVER!

Are you a TRUE Worshipper?

"A worshipper chooses to recognise God for who he is and honour him in integrity, in word (what we declare), in action (what we do and how we live) Worship begins in the heart. You don't worship God with your song, you worship Him in your spirit, in your life, in your attitude, with your mindset with everything that you are.- John 4:23&24"

Do you give God your best and more?

Gen4:3-6 ; Abel brought his Tithe and MORE.

Your worship is directly connected to your revelation of who you see God to be.

Today I share two songs both by the same artist.
William McDowell-
I belong to you
•I won't Go back

I love William McDowell as his music is mainly based on submission to God. These two songs in particular speak of a process of giving your life to God and not returning back to your old way.

Beautiful ❤️

Day 1 Notes of Miss Kanayo's FOS Challenge.

Two specific things popped out to me in Galatians 5. These are that Faith is important and secondly that we have two natures. These both are very important for Christians to know. vs 6 says that when "we are in Christ Jesus, it is not important we are circumcised or not. The important thing is faith-..."- To me this means that although it is important for us to follow the "law" such as the ten commandments, one of the main things as a Christians is FAITH. The Bible says in Heb 11:6 that "without faith it is impossible to please God..." This is talking about the basic faith in actually believing in God, but its also talking about a day to day faith that we should exercise at all times. This means believing that God is going to do before he does it; Heb 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

The second part of this chapter I mentioned was the spirit and Human nature. The bible tells us that "we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (EPH6:12) in Galations 5:13-25 we see a confirmation of this. We as living beings have two natures, the natural, worldly, fleshly, sinful nature which is normal to us, but we also have the spirit being, which many people don't recognise or acknowledge. We live in a world where the battle between spirit and flesh is heavy because "our sinful selves want what is against the spirit..." Well we often ask how do we know if it is our spirit or ourselves?... well Galatians 19-23 tells us the different characteristics of the two natures. Its easy to identify it.
It is also easy to identify a Christian by the fruit they produce, are they:

  • Loving or hateful?
  • Joyous or Miserable?
  • Patient or Short tempered and doubtful?
  • Kind or Selfish?
  • Good or Bad?
  • Faithful or unreliable?
  • Gentle or rude?
  • Self-Controlled or unstable?

I ask myself these questions, we all should. The spirit of God is living in us, but are we representing him as we should? Have we given up our old selfish ways? Have we died to ourselves and prayed "Lord less of me and more of you, Not my will but your will be done in my life" or do we still want to hold on to our old habits and traits?

"We get our new life from the Spirit" vs25, and "we are free now because Christ made us free" vs1, so we should STAND strong and not change or turn back to our old ways.

Moving forward always.-

Todays Notes from an AMAZING message!

Today my Fantastic Pastor Preached on the subject of  Understanding the purpose of your local church and here are the notes from it.

Scripture: Matthew 16:13-19

What do you see?

Are you a thinker?

Average Christians don't THINK.
When you don't understand something it frustrates you.
When you don't understand something you abuse. That is why some men abuse women, and some women even abuse themselves because they don't understand their worth. Selah.

The church is a light. With the bible and prayer, the church is a rich place. Everything lies in the church but you need to see it and believe it. Everything about God is in His church. We are the church. We the people. That means that wherever you are representing Christ. When you are at school, in your work place, in your home, amongst your Friends, You are the only Jesus they see.

We have power and authority.
Be careful what and who you listen to, you don't want to get a wrong perception.

How to deal with Difficult Times in Life.

Day 3

Isaiah 43:1-3

When you stand for God, God stands for you. The third and forth point Pastor made in his message is that we need to firstly have the God kind of faith. Not faith that humans have made, or faith that only works when it suits or benefits you but the God kind of faith. God isn't moved by pity, we need to be strong in him. The forth point of how to deal with difficulties in life is to STAND. Having done all that you can just Stand.

This ties in with the Gospel Song of the day; Stand by Marvin Winans and Donnie McClurkin. Listen to the lyrics of this song and allow it to speak to you. 💕

How to deal with difficult times in Life.

Day 2

Isaiah 43:1-3

Know your God for real. (Mark 11:22, Dan 11:32 - "...but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.") When we know God for ourself, our faith will allow us to handle difficulties in life in a better way than if we don't know our God. Its easy to know "church" or "religion" because that can make us feel real good. But when everything in life seems to be going wrong who can you call upon that can do ALL things?...

Faith.

How to deal with Difficult times in Life.

Day 1.

Isaiah 43:1-3

Don't Live a life of Fear. (Isaiah 43:1). Fear tolerated is faith contaminated. The opposite of FAITH is FEAR. What is faith? Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1),  Another way it is put is Faith means being sure of the things we hope for and knowing that something is real even if we do not see it. (NCV). That means we believe that God has answered our prayers before we see it happen. Not worrying or fearing that it might not happen. If God said it will happen it shall happen. Dont live a fearful life. You wont enjoy your salvation or your life.

Repost from Heather Lindsey's Blog

THE TRUTH ABOUT YOU CANT JUDGE ME
"Whenever I talk about homosexuality being a sin, politics, sex outside of marriage and secular music-- people get fired up! I mean, they get plain MAD at me! HOW DARE YOU HEATHER! How DARE you JUDGE them. If I post that God wants your heart-- you say AMEN! But if I challenge your music, you say- "don't judge me. Sadly, we are a church that is constantly being divided against itself (amos 3:3) and we cannot stand because we rationalize certain areas of our life that we aren't quite ready to let go of. To be totally honest with you, I didn't judge you. The bible judged you & it judged you as wrong.  It is God alone that placed those standards in the bible and as humans, we aren't to argue them, but to obey them. The bible is so clear on certain areas of our life but then we refuse to read it and let our feelings lead our life. We compare & contrast sin & say.. "I can't judge you because I got sin in my own life." Your sin cannot blot out another person's sin-- so instead of rationalizing and comparing sins, let's pursue holiness. Let's pursue righteousness! I'm not saying that I'm perfect or that you'll never sin. The difference is this: When you are not saved, you pursue SIN. When you are saved, you pursue Christ. For example, a practicing homosexual cannot be saved because they pursue and continue IN their sin-- even if they have conviction about it. A practicing fornicator isn't saved because they stay in the bed and continue to have sex and ignore the truth. (read 1 John). How can we say that we love Jesus if we continue to run after things that He's made so clear to us to stay away from in our lives?

John 3:19 And the judgment is based on this fact: God's light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil.

I don't listen to secular music, not because I think I'm better than anyone-- I just understand that MUSIC plants seeds in your heart. I blogged about TV & music affect your life here. Search the heart behind the person that is singing the song. Does their heart belong to the Father? As you read these words, they plant seeds in your heart. When a pastor that preaches the word correctly, preaches-- it plants seeds in your heart.. so when a rapper raps into your ear it doesn't? I can assure you that there's some things going on in your life as a direct result of what you've been watching and listening to on a regular basis. Don't you know that satan was over music in heaven before he got kicked out? But of course he's going for you here on this earth! And the words can even appear to be "safe" but that paired with who is singing it-- it's planting the wrong seeds in your heart.

For example, If you're trying to get over an ex-- you can't sit and listen to Adele all day. You think she's helping you to get over them but you're actually becoming more focused on the situation versus allowing God to heal your broken heart. The more you listen to those songs, the deeper the bitterness grows into your heart and all the while Christ is pulling on you! He's saying, "Focus on this one thing:Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead (Philippines 3:13)!!" Most of that music focuses in on YOU. Music's purpose is to glorify GOD and not self. So, if you're struggling with listening to different rappers or R & B music, ask God to help you. Instead of getting mad at me for telling you that the bible tells us to guard our hearts, ask God to show you why it makes you so upset!

Lets get back to this judging thing. I think it's so important to talk about one of the most uninterrupted scriptures in the bible.

This is an issue that has confused many people. On one hand, we are commanded by the Lord Jesus, “Do not judge, or you too will be judged” (Matthew 7:1) Christians are often accused of "judging" whenever they speak out against a sinful activity. However, that is not the meaning of the Scripture verses that state, "Do not judge." There is a righteous kind of judgment we are supposed to exercise—with careful discernment (John 7:24). When Jesus told us not to judge (Matthew 7:1), He was telling us not to judge hypocritically. Meaning this, I am telling YOU not to do something but secretly, I am doing it.  Matthew 7:2-5 declares, "For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye." What Jesus was condemning here was hypocritical, self-righteous judgments of others.

In Matthew 7:2-5, Jesus warns against judging someone else for his sin when you yourself are sinning even worse. That is the kind of judging Jesus commanded us not to do. If a believer sees another believer sinning, it is his Christian DUTY to lovingly and respectfully confront the person with his sin (Matthew 18:15-17). This is not judging, but rather pointing out the truth in hope—and with the ultimate goal—of bringing repentance in the other person (James 5:20) and restoration to the fellowship. We are to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). We are to proclaim what God's Word says about sin. 2 Timothy 4:2 tells us, "Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage — with great patience and careful instruction. We are to "judge" sin, but always with the goal of presenting the solution for sin and its consequences—the Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:6).

Do you see the difference? "Do not judge" is not some blanket statement that we make in our efforts to pat others on the back and make them feel ok about their sin. The bible tells us to tell our other sisters and brothers in LOVE. So if a proclaiming Christian is living a certain way, it's ok to be God-led to pull her or him aside and talk with them. Even if they reject what you have to say-- doesn't mean you stop correcting. Even if that means you say after praying to the Lord about it, "sis, you know I love you, please don't get upset with me but-- the guy your dating isn't saved. The bible tells us not to be unequally yoked. You used to be so on fire for God, but it's changed since you started dating him." Just make sure that while you're helping them sweep off their porch, that you've swept off your own in that area. You cannot be sleeping with your boyfriend-- keeping him in your bed every night but then trying to tell someone that they need to stop doing the same thing. How does that work?

We must take our own advice. You ruin your witness when you're doing the SAME thing & preaching against it (and this is what the bible is saying, don't judge hypocritically). It seems like we ALWAYS have all this word for somebody else but all of the word we have for them, isn't working for us. If you've approached your sister in Christ about an area and she has decided to continue in her sin, then just PRAY for her. This doesn't mean you get mad at her or whatever else-- it means that you take her before God and CRY out to HIM on HER behalf. Ask yourself.. do you cry on behalf of your sisters or brothers sins or do you gossip about them? If your heart is pure in your approach-- you'll find that you'll get results. If you're talking DOWN to that person, you won't get anywhere. It's not in what you say but HOW you say it. So, be sweet when you do talk to that person. Remember that you're not GOD and if they reject you, know that they rejected Him first. At times, we just plant the seeds and it's GOD alone that waters them. If you have zero relationship with a person-- you cannot expect them to receive from you either. They aren't confident that you even know them well enough to speak into their life, on their situation and if you don't know them and you're trying to speak into their life its most likely because you're assuming which thus makes you unqualified to speak into their heart. Now, if you don't know the person.. and God tells you to do it--- DO it. Obey quickly. This isn't a formula for anything-- in everything we do, we should be God-led. So, instead of thinking of all the people you're going to correct tomorrow-- Go to the Lord and ask Him to correct and wreck YOU. We must be first humble & not self righteous in our approach. I have learned this in "correcting" people-- you cannot WANT that person to change MORE than they want to change. Remember this-- that if we really believed that prayer really works, why would we stop?

So, the next time someone throws the word "judge" around, remember as Christians we are to righteously judge one another based on the truth of the bible-- unbelievers have already been judged as they live in darkness. Pray for their salvation instead of screaming at their sin.. they don't belong to the Father-- what else do you expect for them to do?" - Heather Lindsey

Me and mummy 💞

Gsotd

William Murphy- You are my strength

Strength like no other.

Strategy of Satan

Don't give up- Satan doesn't give up.

Satan wants to destroy our life. And he won't quit. Just because you won one battle against him doesn't mean he is gonna stop coming to attack you. The bible tells us that we should be on our guard and stand firm in our faith. (1 corinthians16:13-14) this means that we should keep a watch out and we should also stand !

Stand through the test. The truth be told some our struggles are nothing compared to the struggles of the some of the men or women in the bible. Look at Joseph, Job's and Paul's life. The emotional, spiritual and physical suffering they endured. Yet they still chose to serve The Lord.

These days I see a lot of quitting in Christianity. It gets hard for all of us because as we step out into a new level (in Christ) there will be a new devil. Challenges come and Go. And satan only  has the power we give him over our life. Yes we all get tempted. But temptation isn't a sin. It's the "doing" part of is that is a the sin. But in order for us to know what sins we are doing and where satan still has a hold in our lives we need to pray.

Prayer is very important. In order for is to stand and resist the Devil we need to remain prayerful. (James4:7)  It's very easy for us to fall and quit if we don't live a prayerful life.

The worse part is that sometimes we are blinded to the fact that we have become slaves to the devil. Just because you go to church every service and listen to a gospel song now and again does not mean that the Holy Spirit is living in you.

There comes a point where we have to question ourselves. Even though we sing "I surrender all" or "I give myself away" how much of our lives to we really sacrifice to our creator. Our Lord God Almighty. Our father. I'm one day, how much of the 24 hours to we spend with the God that we claim to love?

When you love someone, you want to spend more time with them right? So let us wake up and stop being ignorant to the fact that Satan is doing all he can to stop us from getting to the place God wants us to be.

Pray, Seek God and Don't Quit!
